At the start of this assignment we was put into groups to get our minds started and to feel inspired but also get the gist of the assignment that had helped our minds going and to think about designs and such to sketch.
I had started off with mood boards figuring out what colours, feel and look we would like to the music shop, when choosing colours I wanted bright and dark a bit of a mis that I could work well for the theme that the music shop is. I even looked at logos to see how music shop logos are designed and what I could possibly inspire for my own logo and fonts too while the font is graffiti style its full of different personal and cool looking fonts as some of them look really chunky while some others are quite smooth and easy to understand, I also added an brand personality as this is important to have at a start of a new project, I had also
I had also made merch for groove city as I thought this would be good for workers and customers
I designed an animated typography logo that I had to design a spray can as its supposed to be as if your doing graffiti, I used blunt colours that are easy to understand and simple such as orange bricks and the big bubble graffiti style text that’s used, all though it looks a bit rough I’m still proud of it as it’s my first attempt and the what its doing is obvious and easy to understand . you will be able to see work on seperate page I also have the sketches of the can and the finished drawing , I found it difficult to find the right size and shape as a lot of spray cans come in different sizes and shapes
The second one I designed is an vinyl record player with the logo that I had originally drawn but then used illustrator with the logo spinning as if it was actually on, I thought this idea was simple yet cute an fun and felt like it really bought out the music vibe
