For this blog I have made 2 self-portraits that have 2 different styles and 2 completely different emotions and feelings to the self-portrait. I find that self-portrait have lots of different styles and feelings and because of that there are thousands of different styles from different genres, my 1 self-portrait is and black and white portrait of myself where I have made black line outlines around my face, hair and chest and I feel like it’s a bold statement portrait. bold and confident, I’ve done lines on my shirt to show where crinkles are in my shirt and the bubble-like shapes around my cheeks and my nose is where different colours would be for shading it’s the same around my lips as well. I really like how careful I’ve been on this self-portrait with line art. I like how on my hair I have made shapes on where my t-shirt is underneath my hair and where its visible. On self-portrait 2 as you can see it’s a completely different style and feeling. this portrait have colour and lines in different shades the way I’ve done my hat is using different colours of black and Gray to show shade I also did the same thing with my fair and the different shading I’ve used on neck because all the lighting in the photo I had used was focused on my face i also used black outlines on my face to give an cartoony side effect and my freckles around my nose and the rest of my face most of my freckles are on my nose and around my mouth. This portrait gives off a lot of emotion to me because this was the night of Halloween clubbing and me and all my friends was dressed up, I like doing self-portraits because of the story behind them.
