Participatory collective is a network for community groups , and they help hull all over they want to make things better and improve our city. They want to work with multiple projects in hull that can benefit from them and help them gain attention in the city and see change and improvement .they want to make an community that is welcome to anyone, improve on problems that happen in hull with the people , the streets of hull and more they want to connect all different types of people and culture and form something where everyone and anyone can feel safe joining and helping each other out . they need to be known and have a good working website to spread the word.
what problems/challenges do they encounter? can we help them?
-a lot of socials aren’t up to date or haven’t been used
Using social media can help a lot getting out and known it’s also good to have updates on events or knowing something small such as a location and a date and time or updating about process and a lot of them don’t have up to date social media or its not been used at all sometimes not even a bio describing what and who they are.
-not enough information on the projects on the website
On the ideas fund I font that some of the projects didn’t have a link to anything such a social media account on the project or a email and that the description of the project was very short or just had a name also they had no picture of the logo, and this is needed to get people to recognise them
-blog posts
All though its good to have blog posts to tell people updates on events or what’s happened this month and more a lot of these websites don’t update them enough such as some of them leave them for years without any posts , they will post a few and then suddenly stop , they should all be assessable from the website with a small description or part of the blog be shown and then a button to read more .
What do they need from us?
-what should a website include?
A good customer service, an FAQ page, contract and address, social media links, the website should also have a description on what they do and why and such these are just the basics. the colour pallet shouldn’t be too crazy maybe something calming or relaxing or the colour pallet could be bright and colourful but not too overstimulating or too much going on
-how could you make everyone feel included?
All the projects will be something different for each and every preference someone may have, also always update on projects and talk about how they can change and help people for better, talking about working as a person with a disability or such for people to feel like they can relate to them and understand that it needs changing
Advisement
-how could you advertise participatory collective?
By using more popular social media such as TikTok and Instagram by posting reels and daily posts but also by posting live content from the projects or funny clips to get people laughing and more intrigued by future content also its good to have things up in places such as pubs or restaurants shops all of that even though they may not gain much attention it’s good to see something new up every now and then . it’s also good to use sights that aren’t as popular such as twitter and Facebook for people from all different types of ages and generations to see.
