At the start of this assignment, I started with mood boards and looking at other cooking apps to see what goes best I also did a lot of research on the reviews on popular cooking apps that are used often , on the layout mood board I have noticed that simple , minimalist layouts are popular and I can see why, you want something that isn’t too overwhelming and you want a calming atmosphere while cooking. Some apps have a range of colours but they are also all paired with white to also give that relaxing look
I did reviews from 3 top cooking apps that came up on my app store and I found it useful and helped me a lot out through the making of the app. On theses reviews a lot of people complain about useful features being taken away from them from a new update on the app and complaints about a lot of glitches on the apps so I will make sure that the app works and make small improvements the longer the app exists.
I also did two mind boards on what needs to be in a cooking app and what are the users’ needs in the app these helped me with what would be useful to have in the app and what is needed in the app for the uses .
I also did 5 user profiles to see what they think on cooking apps and what would be good to have and what isn’t necessary , everyone had agreed that an shopping list is a must have an a cooking app and videos with step to step instructions with times and such is needed as well to help users that are starting with new recipes and ways they haven’t tried before.
