Throughout this assignment I practiced different fonts of typography for the tattoo convention poster there was multiple fonts I practiced like bubble font and some street like graffiti fonts that I found on Pinterest and practiced them on adobe fresco on my iPad by going over the font picture on a separate layer to overdraw certain letters that I will use on my poster and I did this with a few different fonts to see what I think would fit in the poster to give it its street graffiti look to find the fonts I used I spent a lot of time going through Pinterest looking at different graffiti fonts to see what I wanted to try there was such an massive selection of fonts when it comes to this area of art because no graffiti is the same and its all different in certain ways some add their own twist onto their version of graffiti to make it an personal style of art to them so whenever they see their work on the streets they know that the work is there and it adds such a creative mindset and colour on the streets and it makes even the most boring parts of cities look beautiful the graffiti font that I have used on my website and my poster have my own twist and uniqueness to them from the fonts I’ve used and small details from the mixed colour fonts the style of street fonts I’ve used
The mood boards I have are all pictures from Pinterest the first mood board I have is based off street graffiti photography to get some ideas of what is street graffiti and how can incorporate that into a poster and how I can make it stand out to people I used graffiti inspiration from abandoned houses graffiti to random walls on the street even graffiti what has been done on paper . loads of different graffiti font work on the streets also drawings that have been done on the streets also the colour pallets that have been used on these streets are so mixed and none of the colours go together but I feel like that’s the beauty of graffiti you see all over the world some of it is just meaningless name tags what is common for graffiti and some of it has deep meaning behind it or some of it is aggressive mean comments it’s like you can see how everyone’s emotions are put all over the world and that’s the beauty of it I did a few of these mood boards to also help with inspiration for my website and such to have small ideas and such for the website and I did a mood board dedicated to fonts what really helped me find ideas and different styles for the poster and website and such I really enjoyed seeing and researching the many fonts that are used on our streets and how some of them have small details like droplets , crosses and such in the fonts
